What a great turnout for the litter picks on Friday and Saturday! Thank you to everyone who contributed-Adrienne putting up posters,Tony and Rupert managing road signs to warn motorists,Moo, Anne ,Jenny ,Rupert and Tony supporting the high school pick up and Louise Ramsey for organising the pupils and staff and Betty, Jo and Moo providing refreshments.Thank you to everyone who couldnât come along to Dove Cottage but picked up before and after, 22 people in total took part in the pickup .There was a team tidying up the Hoppit wood and lake on Saturday , so a busy and productive day all round. Thank you also to our contractors, Ben and Sue, who manage our many bins and pickup in the village, all year round. The fly tipping has been reported to Public Realm, Mid Suffolk Council and will be collected and followed up where possible.The high school pupils year 7,8 and 9 ,did an excellent job, collecting approx 15kg in and around the Leisure centre and school and on Saturday 38kg was collected , so 53kg in total.Thank you to St Maryâs church and Public Realm for making the pick ups so easy to organise. If you would like to pick up between the Spring and Summer community events, there is equipment available in the shed by the garden at the Primary school or contact me to collect equipment from me.If you can come along to the leisure centre on the 6th November to pick up after the firework display, please let me know, I will confirm the time to meet up there, nearer to the date.Coffee and croissants will be on offer after the event!Best wishesJoy Debenham Green Team
